An appointment with a GP costs €149. If you're prescribed any medication, we'll write the prescription for free, but you'll need to pay the pharmacy for the medicine.

You don't need insurance, you can pay a one off fee using your credit or debit card, without worrying about insurance forms.

How do I find a public hospital in the Costa Del Sol?
You can find all the hospitals in the Costa Del Sol on the Spanish Health Ministry website. Before visiting a hospital make sure that they have an emergency department. In Spain this is known as "urgencias". Remember to take your passport and, if you have one, an EHIC or GHIC card.
How do I find an English-speaking clinic in the Costa Del Sol?

Where can I find a pharmacy in the Costa Del Sol?
Pharmacies in the Costa Del Sol are known as "Farmacias". They can often give you very good advice before you visit a doctor. They cannot give you antibiotics or stronger painkillers. You can find your nearest pharmacy in the Costa Del Sol on the Spanish College of Pharmacists website. If they can't help you they can advice you where the nearest hospital is. Most pharmacists in the Costa Del Sol speak some English.
